Retail Sales Trainee

About the role

This 12-month traineeship is focused on driving fuel, lubricants, LPG and non‑fuel revenue across a portfolio of retail sites. You will work closely with site retailers to ensure high service standards, maximise sales opportunities and support the delivery of the Shell Customer Commitment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site operating standards and processes for the assigned geographical area.
• Maximise sales of fuels, lubricants, LPG, Shell card and non‑fuel offers.
• Drive customer loyalty and monitor key retail economic levers to improve profitability.
• Deliver sales and operations targets through regular reviews and action plans.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE standards, contracts and manuals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with retailers, including recruitment and performance coaching.
• Oversee site performance, administration and training completion for retailer and site staff.
• Maintain integrity of VE assets on site.

Required profile

• A degree in Engineering or Sales & Marketing.
• Ability to analyse trade‑area information and propose business solutions.
• Strong negotiation abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence.
