Retail Salesperson

About the role

The Retail Salesperson will work full‑time on‑site in Port Louis, greeting customers and helping them find the right electronics, hardware and home appliances. You will play a key part in delivering a positive shopping experience while supporting the store’s sales objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, understand their needs and recommend suitable products.
• Provide detailed product information and demonstrate features.
• Handle inquiries, complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales area.
• Restock shelves, update price tags and assist with visual displays.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets.

Required profile

• Strong retail sales ability with a proven track record of meeting targets.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good product knowledge of electronics, hardware and home appliances.
• Basic numeracy and accurate POS/cash handling.
• Ability to stand for long periods and manage busy periods calmly.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Previous retail or showroom experience is an advantage.
• Secondary education or equivalent required.
