Safety & Health Trainee

About the role

Agriterra is seeking a motivated Safety & Health Trainee to support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and compliance practices across its operations. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a dynamic agricultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in conducting and updating risk assessments.
• Support compliance activities related to ISO 45001 and Bonsucro standards.
• Participate in health & safety audits and follow up on action plans.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective action tracking.
• Help coordinate Health & Safety Committee meetings.
• Contribute to safety training sessions and awareness initiatives.
• Maintain health & safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.

Required profile

• A degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in health, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proactive attitude, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work comfortably in both field and office environments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 45001 standards.
• Familiarity with Bonsucro compliance requirements.
• Experience with risk assessments.
• Understanding of health & safety audit processes.
• Incident investigation techniques.
