Senior Client Accountant

About the role

Apex Group is seeking a Senior Client Accountant to join its global fund administration team. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing journal entries, and supporting clients across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Collect data and prepare bookkeeping, P&L, balance sheet, cash‑flow statements and notes.
• Analyse bank transactions, invoices, expenses and other accounting entries using Excel or the company accounting platform.
• Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable, including inter‑company transactions.
• Assist in trial‑balance finalisation and the preparation of periodic management accounts under IFRS and US GAAP.
• Support payroll accounting, journal postings, and VAT/GST calculations and returns.
• Respond to queries from on‑shore teams, clients, auditors and senior management.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, MBA‑Finance, CFA or equivalent).
• 5‑7 years of experience in accounting, preferably in fund administration or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP reporting standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with accounting platforms and journal entry processing.
• Understanding of accrued/prepaid expenses, revaluations, cash, capital and dividend movements.
• Ability to perform VAT/GST calculations and filing.
