Senior Data Engineer (Analytics | Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design and build iubenda’s data infrastructure from the ground up. You will lead the creation of a comprehensive Data Warehouse and enable data‑driven decisions across product, marketing, and business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and build the company’s Data Warehouse, defining data architecture, modeling conventions, and governance standards.
• Design and implement end‑to‑end data pipelines using dbt to ingest, transform, and serve raw event logs, product data, and third‑party sources.
• Own the Marketing Analytics data engineering domain, managing pipelines and SDK configurations that feed advertising platforms and the data warehouse.
• Provide foundational data infrastructure for analysts to create dashboards and explore data with PowerBI.
• Establish data integrity standards, SLAs, alerting mechanisms, and documentation to ensure reliable data delivery.
• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for data foundations, translating stakeholder needs into technical requirements.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to instrument data correctly from source to reporting‑grade datasets.

Required profile

• Experience in scale‑up environments, preferably SaaS.
• Proven track record of building data infrastructure from the ground up.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
