Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Arup is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team in Mauritius. The role involves leading MEP design, overseeing project delivery, and driving digital transformation within the engineering practice.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to deliver MEP design solutions for new builds and refurbishments.
• Manage feasibility studies, detailed design, and on‑site activities, ensuring projects stay on budget and schedule.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior engineers.
• Lead the adoption of digital tools and automation, with a focus on integrated Revit workflows.
• Interpret client briefs, develop specifications, and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in mechanical and MEP engineering, preferably in the built environment sector.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to knowledge sharing.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit (mandatory).
