Senior Parts Purchasing Officer

About the role

The Senior Parts Purchasing Officer will lead the end‑to‑end purchasing process for parts and equipment, ensuring timely delivery from vendors and optimal coordination with internal teams. This position supports BIA Group’s operations across public works, mining, and transport sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requirements, issue purchase orders and confirm delivery dates with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, identify late deliveries and work with the Supply Chain Coordinator to prioritize urgent lines.
• Lead weekly follow‑up calls with suppliers and coordinate alternative sourcing when needed.
• Update order status, delivery dates and invoice information in SAP.
• Collaborate with finance to reconcile supplier statements and with logistics to arrange shipments.
• Train and mentor junior purchasing officers and drive quality checks.
• Report inconsistencies, conduct root‑cause analysis and propose process improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Management or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in an industrial or equipment environment.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Willingness to work standard hours with flexible shift options.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
