Senior Workplace Health & Safety Specialist

About the role

The Senior Workplace Health & Safety Specialist reports to the Facilities Manager and is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment. The role involves conducting regular audits, developing training programmes, and handling incidents to protect employees and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly occupational safety and health audits across all sites and outsourced facilities.
• Identify risks, recommend preventive measures, and advise management in writing on best practices.
• Design, deliver, and record training programmes to meet legislative requirements.
• Review safety procedures at least every two years and update records accordingly.
• Investigate employee complaints, accidents, and dangerous occurrences; produce reports and recommendations.
• Maintain hazard‑free workplaces, conduct fire drills, and ensure compliance of canteen services.
• Coordinate health‑related events, capture visual documentation, and support employees needing psychological assistance.
• Manage procurement of safety equipment and materials, and handle any facilities‑related duties assigned by the Facilities Manager.

Required profile

• Graduate from a recognized university.
• Registered Health and Safety Officer with the Ministry of Health.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 09:00‑19:00 or 10:00‑20:00.
