Software Developer Intern – 6‑Month Placement

About the role

Dayforce (Mauritius) Ltd is looking for a motivated Software Developer Intern to join its development team for a six‑month period starting 26 October 2026. The internship offers hands‑on experience in designing, building and testing software solutions while working alongside seasoned engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and test software applications and solutions.
• Assist in coding, debugging, and troubleshooting software issues to ensure smooth functionality.
• Participate in the development and enhancement of existing software products.
• Support the implementation of best practices and coding standards.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver quality results.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field (final year or recent graduate).
• Strong academic performance in programming, algorithms, data structures and related subjects.
• Passionate about learning new technologies and working in a tech environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C#, Java, C++, Python or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks).
• Understanding of OOP concepts, SQL and front‑end frameworks like React or Angular.
• Interest or experience in Artificial Intelligence, machine learning or generative AI is a plus.
