Store Attendant

About the role

The Store Attendant supports the hotel’s operations by managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. This role ensures accurate documentation, maintains stock levels, and upholds a clean and safe store environment.

Key responsibilities

• Compare invoices and receiving records with purchase orders to verify quantity and description.
• Organise goods deliveries to general stores or requisitioning departments and record daily receiving summaries.
• Prepare requisitions for all departments, schedule deliveries and update stock records in the system.
• Inspect quality and quantity of received goods, ensure proper documentation, and register any items leaving the hotel.
• Ensure sufficient stock levels for hotel operations.
• Register and verify returnable containers and other goods leaving the hotel.
• Promote energy efficiency and environmentally friendly actions.
• Maintain cleanliness of stores and receiving areas and ensure a safe, hygienic working environment.

Required profile

• School Certificate or equivalent.
• Team player with a flexible approach to work.
• Ability to follow departmental policies and report any issues to the Financial Controller.
• Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Act and local health and safety codes.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and grooming standards.
