Trainee Sales Promoter – Lubricant Sales

About the role

The Trainee Sales Promoter will support the promotion and sale of Shell lubricants at service stations. You will engage customers, recommend the right products for their vehicles, and help increase awareness and sales of Shell lubricant ranges.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell Shell lubricant products to customers at service stations.
• Advise customers on the correct lubricant based on vehicle type and usage.
• Explain product benefits, promotions, and ongoing campaigns.
• Upsell premium products such as Shell Helix and Shell Advance.
• Maintain clean, attractive, and well‑stocked lubricant display shelves.
• Monitor stock levels and report low stock to station management.
• Build good relationships with station staff and customers.
• Support promotional events, activations, and roadshows when required.
• Collect customer feedback and market information.
• Ensure all activities follow HSSEQ and company safety standards.
• Maintain daily sales and activity reports.

Required profile

• HSC / School Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Passion for sales, marketing, and customer interaction.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dynamic, confident, and outgoing personality.
• Basic knowledge of automobiles or lubricants (advantageous).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
