Assistant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Manager will support the Unit Manager in delivering high‑quality operational services across the Global Business Sector. This role combines client‑facing responsibilities with risk‑focused oversight to ensure compliance and efficient service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Unit Manager in all operational aspects and manage day‑to‑day unit activities.
• Monitor and review work performed by unit members, including timesheets and capacity planning.
• Provide regular operational updates to senior management and identify training needs.
• Apply a risk‑minimisation mindset, proactively identifying operational risks and escalating where necessary.
• Conduct customer due‑diligence (CDD) in line with AML requirements and maintain an up‑to‑date CDD register.
• Participate in client meetings, both internal and external, as required.
• Authorize bank account openings and verify that banking transactions fall within the company’s scope.
• Review board packs, shareholder resolutions, and certificates (current standing, good standing, incumbency).
• Handle incorporation documents, liaise with regulatory bodies (ROC/FSC) for licensing, and manage corporate restructuring, mergers, re‑domiciliation, transfers and winding‑up processes.
• Maintain client relationships, ensuring service delivery meets agreed standards and deadlines.
• Conduct regular team meetings and perform performance appraisals.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of business risks within a global financial services environment.
• Experience with AML/CDD processes and corporate governance documentation.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and internal reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
