Assistant Teacher – Lower Primary (PYP)

About the role

Northfields International School is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support lower‑primary classes within the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). The position starts in August 2026 and involves working closely with the lead teacher to create a nurturing, student‑centred learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
• Support students individually and in small groups to enhance learning.
• Maintain a safe, disciplined, and engaging classroom environment.
• Prepare teaching materials, resources, and classroom displays.
• Supervise students during class, breaks, and school activities.
• Monitor student progress and report concerns to the teacher.
• Assist with basic administrative tasks such as attendance and record‑keeping.
• Encourage students’ social, emotional, and academic development.

Required profile

• Willingness to support lower‑primary classes within the PYP framework.
• Availability to start in August 2026.
