Business Development Executive

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Business Development Executive to lead and support our BD team, manage referral partners, and drive new business opportunities within the financial services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a BD Associate, ensuring smooth integration into the team.
• Maintain and expand a network of AXIS referral partners, updating relationships and fee structures.
• Research, draft, and update technical articles, factsheets, presentations, and product documentation for internal and social media use.
• Prepare proposals, quotations, and structured notes for leads, and follow up to convert them into business.
• Manage leads, CRM updates, and regular data entry across internal systems, including scanning and uploading documents.
• Coordinate business trips, market research, and meetings with intermediaries.
• Support marketing and communication initiatives, including advertising and promotional activities.
• Organise meetings, prepare agendas, meeting packs, and routine correspondence.
• Maintain accurate records in physical and digital filing systems and contribute to business development reporting.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in Law, Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a professional qualification such as ICSA/STEP.
• Minimum three years of experience in the legal or financial services sector.
• Good knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks, including FIAMLA Act, GBC, AC, and KYC standards.
• Familiarity with company secretarial duties, board matters, corporate and trust administration, compliance and good governance principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools for lead and partner management.
• Ability to create and edit spreadsheets and other office documents.
• Experience using document management systems (DMS) for scanning and uploading files.
