Construction Supervisor – Estimation & Cost Management

About the role

The BOSC Construction Supervisor will lead cost estimation for construction and engineering projects, translating RFP data into detailed labor, equipment, subcontractor and material forecasts. Working closely with engineering and functional teams, you will ensure estimates are accurate, compliant and delivered on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in sequencing construction activities and outline labor, material, and equipment components.
• Analyze specifications, sketches, blueprints and bills of material to calculate production costs.
• Collect cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors and vendors.
• Compute and prepare estimates for raw materials, subcontracted work and labor.
• Create and maintain historical cost data and cost models.
• Revise estimates when project scope changes and assist in BOE development.
• Mentor less‑experienced estimators and provide on‑the‑job training.
• Liaise between the estimating department and other functional areas to ensure compliant data.
• Provide QA/QC support to the estimating process and review manufacturing parts lists.
• Conduct research using technical manuals and parts lists.
• Prepare final estimates for domestic and international government proposals.
• Interface with government auditors for pre‑award and post‑award price audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum four years of construction or government estimation experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, costs and procedures across heavy construction, electrical, plumbing and masonry work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple concurrent tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with various engineering disciplines and management levels.
