Laboratory Technician for BOSC Clinic

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support the Base Operating Support Contractor (BOSC) Clinic on Diego Garcia. The role involves conducting sampling, testing, and laboratory analysis while ensuring compliance with technical, operational, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and process samples according to the contractor’s sampling plan, including equipment selection, sample locations, and testing methods.
• Prepare written training plans and train laboratory personnel in sampling, testing, and laboratory procedures.
• Maintain documentation of all training activities to demonstrate technical proficiency.
• Perform re‑sampling, re‑testing, and obtain laboratory analyses as required, ensuring compliance with contract specifications.
• Conduct laboratory analysis, submit accurate results, and meet defined timelines.
• Execute laboratory audits, quality checks, and routine system inspections to meet DoD Instruction 4715.15 accreditation standards.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Compile, maintain, and submit detailed reports on laboratory results, sampling procedures, and operational performance.
• Collaborate with supervisors and engineering staff to review results and provide actionable recommendations.
• Follow all environmental, health, and safety protocols when handling hazardous substances.

Required profile

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in laboratory analysis, sampling, and testing.
• Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and sampling methodologies.
• Experience developing and implementing written sampling and training plans.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe laboratory environment and adhering to safety protocols.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
