Product Owner – Core Banking & Mobile Channels

About the role

The Product Owner will drive the efficiency, reliability and innovation of the bank’s payment ecosystem, covering both the core banking platform and customer‑facing mobile channels. You will translate business needs and customer insights into high‑value features that enhance transaction processing and digital payment experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to maintain and improve stability, scalability and performance of core payment systems.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of payment platforms, including upgrades, integrations and transformation projects.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, scheme requirements and security standards.
• Collaborate with technology, operations, risk and compliance teams to build a resilient payment infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance, incidents and KPIs to guarantee high availability.
• Define and execute the product vision for mobile digital payment solutions.
• Translate customer behaviours and pain points into intuitive product features.
• Prioritise the product backlog to maximise customer value and adoption.
• Work closely with UX/UI, business and technology teams to deliver seamless digital payment journeys.
• Leverage data, analytics and feedback to continuously improve the user experience.
• Drive delivery using agile methodologies to ensure timely, high‑quality releases.
