Receptionist – Guest Services on Luxury Cruise Ship

About the role

We are seeking a professional Receptionist to join our luxury cruise ship’s Guest Relations team. The role involves delivering exceptional front‑desk service to international guests, handling enquiries, and ensuring a seamless experience throughout the voyage.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outstanding guest service at the reception desk, responding promptly to requests, enquiries and complaints.
• Coordinate guest needs such as restaurant reservations, wake‑up calls, mail services, DVD/CD rentals and newspaper deliveries.
• Assist guests with financial transactions, including cash payments, traveller’s checks, foreign‑currency exchange and credit‑card operations, and reconcile cash with the Financial Officer at the end of each cruise.
• Maintain communication with the Guest Relations Manager and other ship departments to ensure service standards are met.
• Follow company Standard Operating Procedures and uphold moral integrity and confidentiality.

Required profile

• Minimum two years experience in guest‑facing or front‑desk roles within a 5‑star or luxury hospitality environment.
• Basic accounting knowledge and strong administrative abilities.
• Excellent fluency in English (verbal and written); additional fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, German or French is highly desirable.
• Adaptable, quick‑thinking and able to make decisions under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Well‑organized, self‑motivated and capable of handling multiple demands calmly.
