Senior Fund Accountant

About the role

The Apex Group is seeking an experienced Senior Fund Accountant to join its global fund administration team. You will be responsible for the accurate calculation and reporting of Net Asset Values (NAV) for hedge‑fund clients, ensuring all cash, position and market‑value reconciliations are completed on time.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily and monthly NAVs for hedge‑fund clients.
• Perform cash, position and market‑value reconciliations, investigate and resolve breaks.
• Review portfolio pricing, analyse pricing exceptions and validate corporate actions.
• Reconcile dividends and interest with broker reports.
• Accrue and amortise management fees, financing accruals and other non‑security fees.
• Process non‑automated transactions, including OTC derivatives and related cash movements.
• Manage fund migrations from on‑shore locations while meeting SLA targets.
• Communicate NAV estimates, queries and ad‑hoc requests to clients and client service managers.
• Support month‑end NAV finalisation and produce investor‑level allocation reports.
• Assist audit teams with financial statement preparation and issue tracking.
• Participate in automation, migration and conversion projects, driving process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience within an investment‑management or fund‑administration environment.
• Strong understanding of hedge‑fund accounting, NAV calculation and related reconciliations.
• Proven ability to work independently, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
