Senior Fund Accountant

About the role

The Senior Fund Accountant will join Apex Group’s fund administration team, supporting hedge‑fund clients by calculating net asset values (NAVs) and ensuring accurate accounting records. This position requires strong analytical abilities and effective communication with internal teams and external clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly NAVs for hedge‑fund clients.
• Perform cash, position and market‑value reconciliations, investigate and resolve breaks.
• Review portfolio pricing, analyse pricing exceptions and verify corporate actions.
• Reconcile dividends and interest with broker reports.
• Accrue and amortise management fees, financing fees and other non‑security related fees.
• Process non‑automated transactions, including OTC derivatives and related cash movements.
• Communicate NAV estimates, queries and break resolutions to clients and client service managers.
• Book capital activities and ensure correct booking of OTC products.
• Support audit preparation, review audit findings and track issue resolution.
• Coordinate with securities, pricing, reporting, investor services, auditors and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the fund industry.
• ACCA qualified, partially qualified, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong time‑management and organisational skills with ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Detail‑oriented, accurate and willing to learn new tasks.
• Effective interpersonal communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with fund accounting software (advantage).
