Senior Manager

About the role

The Senior Manager will lead a team within Apex Group’s fund administration and middle‑office services, ensuring high‑quality delivery and regulatory compliance across Mauritius‑based closed‑end funds.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team on projects, assignments and ad‑hoc duties, managing internal and external deliverables.
• Oversee all operational aspects of unit deliverables, including resource allocation, timesheet review and capacity planning.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on operational performance and risk exposure.
• Identify training needs, communicate them to senior management and support staff development.
• Ensure compliance with the Mauritius Companies Act, Financial Services Act, Code of Corporate Governance, Data Protection Act, Securities Act and other relevant regulations.
• Manage licensing, regulatory filings and the full lifecycle of closed‑end funds, from formation to closure.
• Perform customer due diligence (CDD) in line with AML requirements and maintain up‑to‑date records.
• Attend client meetings as required, representing the unit both internally and externally.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing teams in fund administration or related financial services.
• Strong understanding of business risks and a risk‑minimisation mindset.
• In‑depth knowledge of Mauritius regulatory framework for financial services.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and clients.
