Sushi Demi Chef de Partie – Foreign Worker Visa

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Demi Chef de Partie specialized in sushi to join the culinary team at Four Seasons’ luxury resort in Mauritius. This position supports our Foreign Worker Initiative, offering expatriates the chance to work in an international, high‑end hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare sushi, sashimi, maki, nigiri and other Japanese dishes following established recipes and presentation standards.
• Assist senior chefs with mise en place, ingredient preparation and daily kitchen operations.
• Ensure freshness and quality of all ingredients, minimizing waste and maintaining organized workstations.
• Maintain strict cleanliness and food safety standards at all times.
• Support smooth kitchen service during peak periods and uphold portion control.

Required profile

• Good knowledge of Japanese cuisine and basic sushi techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced kitchen while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.
• Willingness to relocate and work under the foreign worker visa scheme in Mauritius.
