About the role
The Trade Finance Support specialist will assist the Middle Office in executing trade finance operations. The role involves processing transactions, verifying signatures, validating documentation, and handling queries from the trade portal to ensure smooth and compliant trade activities.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately input trade transactions for sanctions screening.
- Verify signatures and validate documents before processing.
- Record bank transactions in internal systems and engage with departments for pre‑authorization.
- Schedule currency positions and forward sheets to Treasury.
- Escalate due payments and monitor complaints for senior management.
- Compile AML questionnaires and maintain effective data management.
- Prepare and send documentary credit advice and amendments to customers.
- Run regular reports, scan and upload documents to the bank’s system.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of relevant banking experience in Trade Finance.
- Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of trade products, documentation and sanction policies.
