Accounting Manager - Private Equity & Real Estate Funds

About the role

Ocorian's Asset Manager Services team supports asset managers, private wealth, corporates and issuers with operational and regulatory services. As Manager, Accounting (Private Equity & Real Estate), you will lead the delivery of high-quality accounting and fund accounting services across a portfolio of clients and entities, overseeing a team of accounting professionals and acting as a key escalation point for client matters.

Key responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of Private Equity and Real Estate clients, acting as a key point of contact and managing expectations
• Oversee NAV calculations, capital calls, distributions, financial statements, management accounts, tax returns and other deliverables
• Work with clients, auditors, administrators and internal teams to coordinate deliverables
• Lead and coach a team of accountants, manage priorities and workloads, and promote process automation and technology use
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and Ocorian policies, and escalate client and operational issues
• Support commercial success through fee management, accurate billing and opportunities to expand client services

Required profile

• ACCA/ACA fully qualified
• At least 7 years' post-qualification experience
• Finance industry or accounting/auditing experience with exposure to global businesses
• Proven people management and supervisory experience, at least 3 years at management level
• Knowledge of fund accounting for PE and RE funds is a must; fund administration is desirable

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of PE and RE fund accounting and reporting, waterfall calculations and IFRS
• Advanced Excel and proven working knowledge of Paxus and eFront
• Strong knowledge of fund accounting software such as PAXUS and EFRONT, and willingness to learn Value Financials
