Accounts/Debtors Clerk

About the role

We are looking for an Accounts/Debtors Clerk to join AkzoNobel’s Cash Application team. The role supports daily cash application activities, handles refund requests, and resolves payment queries to ensure accurate financial processing.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate incoming payments to outstanding customer invoices promptly and accurately.
• Process cash re‑allocation requests, refunds and write‑offs in line with the Global Credit Policy.
• Respond to cash‑related queries received via the central inbox and escalate issues to the appropriate departments.
• Maintain customer master data, flagging gaps and errors for correction.
• Execute direct debit transactions, in‑house bank statement reconciliation and other cash‑handling tasks.
• Support credit controllers as a backup and assist with spot checks and control activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in a multinational matrix organization.
• Strong command of English and French.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Creo.
