Analyst - Corporate Solutions

About the role

Apex Group, a fund administration and middle office solutions provider founded in Bermuda in 2003, is hiring an Analyst for its Corporate Solutions unit in Ebene, Mauritius. This is a permanent position. The role covers corporate accounting, statutory filings, tax matters and document certification.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain proper records in line with internal and legal requirements.
• Convene meetings of directors and shareholders, prepare Board papers and verify minutes.
• Prepare accounts and tax computations and liaise with auditors; ensure final deliverables are accurate.
• Develop knowledge of each client's needs and complete certifications, notarisation, apostille and consularisation of documents on time.
• Maintain bank accounts, open new ones, initiate transfers and liaise with the bank.
• Deliver statutory accounts with all applicable disclosures and monitor day-to-day tasks.
• File annual returns, APS returns, PAYE, TDS, VAT and Indian tax returns on time, and handle tax queries from the MRA and other authorities.
• Effect statutory filings with the FSC, ROC and other bodies, and carry out customer due diligence under the AML Code.
• Coordinate the work of team members.

Required profile

• Fresher or 1 year of experience in the global business sector or an audit firm is an advantage.
• Degree, or substantially completed ACA or ACCA qualification or equivalent.
• Client service mindset, good written and spoken communication, and ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Organised, goal-oriented and able to work under pressure.
