Governance, Risk and Compliance Administrator

About the role

Hawksford is hiring a Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Administrator to join its Shared Service support team based in Mauritius. The role supports the GRC teams, including the Head of AML Services and the Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officers (AMLCOs), by assessing and monitoring compliance risks and supporting their reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior management, especially the Head of AML Services and AMLCOs, in funding entities and in assessing and monitoring compliance risks.
• Review and evaluate compliance issues and escalate material ones to the AMLCOs.
• Help draft AMLCO reports and client entity risk assessments.
• Conduct CDD and other reviews, perform controls testing, prepare test reports with recommendations and action plans, and track action plans to closure.
• Monitor breaches, complaints and errors, keep compliance tracking records and follow them through to closure.
• Support ad-hoc compliance and risk tasks and maintain the schedule of activities and deliverables for client fund entities under AMLCO responsibility.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of working experience in a compliance and risk function (preferred).
• Business-level written and spoken English.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible hours, whenever required.
• Willingness to adapt to different regulatory requirements, a can-do attitude and courage to speak up when something is wrong.

Required skills

• Excellent IT skills, including Excel and data management.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
