Assistant Accountant - Asset Manager Services (Fund)

About the role

Ocorian's Asset Manager Services division (Private Wealth & Corporate, Issuer Services) is hiring an Assistant Accountant in Moka. You will maintain accurate accounting records and develop your technical expertise, with training and support to prepare financial statements and management accounts for a portfolio of clients, in line with relevant accounting frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and process transactions for an assigned portfolio of clients
• Post bookkeeping entries and keep high-quality records to support financial statements and management accounts
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, loan and bank transactions
• Perform bank, investment and other reconciliations
• Assist with VAT returns and other basic tax filings
• Prepare simple financial statements and management accounts
• Work with colleagues on accounting tasks and team projects
• Build professional relationships with clients across multiple jurisdictions and handle confidential information securely

Required profile

• Completed ACCA Level 2 and/or a first degree in accounting
• At least 2 years of accounting experience
• Ability to learn NAV, E-front systems and Value Financials software
