Assistant Bakery Cook

About the role

The Assistant Cook – Bakery supports the bakery team at One&Only Le Saint Géran in creating high‑quality breads, pastries, viennoiseries and desserts for hotel guests. You will work in a fast‑paced, hospitality‑focused environment, ensuring that every product meets the brand’s standards for taste, presentation and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and production of breads, pastries, viennoiseries, desserts and other bakery items.
• Prepare and maintain mise en place for daily operations, following recipes and production schedules.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, dating and covering of all food products, applying FEFO/FIFO principles.
• Check the quality of incoming ingredients and report any discrepancies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, refrigerators, freezers and storage areas.
• Adhere to HACCP, food safety, sanitation and hygiene standards at all times.
• Monitor expiry dates and manage inventory control within the bakery section.
• Support special events, banquets and functions as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues from other kitchen sections to ensure smooth operations.
