Associate, Cost of Sales Operations - Automation

About the role

Checkout.com is seeking a data‑driven Associate to join the Cost of Sales Automation unit in Ebene, Mauritius. Reporting to the unit manager, you will streamline processes, build seamless workflows and deliver analytics that support accurate billing and revenue operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex analysis on large datasets using advanced SQL and BigQuery to uncover trends and insights.
• Automate reconciliation processes with scripts and integrate results into user‑friendly interfaces such as Looker and Retool.
• Develop, automate, and optimise data‑transformation pipelines using Java or Python.
• Maintain code integrity, data models and ETL scripts in GitHub.
• Design and sustain interactive dashboards and front‑end data applications with Retool for self‑service access.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define metrics and support data‑driven decision making.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of experience in data analytics, revenue/sales operations, finance or a similar analytical role.
• Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance or another quantitative discipline.
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for problem solving and automation.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL and BigQuery for large‑scale data extraction.
• Proficiency in Java or Python for scripting and pipeline development.
• Experience with version control using GitHub.
• Ability to build dashboards and data applications in Retool.
• Familiarity with Looker or similar BI tools.
