Associate Tax Consultant

About the role

The Associate Tax Consultant will support Apex Group’s global tax function, ensuring accurate tax compliance for a diverse client base. You will work closely with internal teams and external tax authorities to deliver timely filings and insightful tax analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Review and prepare tax, PAYE, TDS, CSG and VAT computations and returns.
• Coordinate internal teams to ensure quarterly and annual tax filings are submitted on time.
• Monitor client tax compliance, produce KPI reports and maintain taxation processes.
• Assist with internal training sessions and tax update briefings.
• Prepare tax technical papers, new procedures and maintain a database of MRA rulings and international tax cases.
• Respond to MRA queries, liaise with clients and tax authorities, and attend meetings on behalf of clients.
• Conduct research on domestic and international tax issues, analyse legislative changes and implement necessary updates.
• Perform tax analysis on Mauritian tax matters and summarise findings in reports.

Required profile

• 0‑2 years of experience in a global business environment, preferably with exposure to various vehicle structures.
• Degree holder or substantial progress towards ACA/ACCA qualification; fresh graduates with strong academic records are welcome.
• Strong interest in taxation and basic understanding of Mauritian tax legislation.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills with high attention to detail.
