Banking and Financial Analyst

About the role

The Strategy, Research and Development division of MCB is seeking a Banking and Financial Analyst to provide cutting‑edge research and analysis on market, industry and regulatory trends. The role supports senior leaders with data‑driven insights that shape the Group’s strategic decisions and enhances MCB’s brand reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor and analyse the evolving local, regional and international banking and financial landscape, delivering timely and accurate research to support decision‑makers.
• Identify and assess market, industry and regulatory challenges and opportunities under the guidance of the Senior Banking and Financial Analyst, escalating key issues and recommending actions.
• Prepare targeted reports and topical papers that demonstrate MCB’s strong financial health to international rating agencies, supporting the Group’s investment‑grade rating.
• Assist in creating insightful reports and presentations on market, industry and regulatory topics for business lines and senior management.
• Build and maintain effective networking relationships with relevant stakeholders to facilitate robust research and analysis.
• Develop and update financial and forecasting models to evaluate the impact of operational changes on key performance indicators.
• Provide accurate inputs for due‑diligence exercises undertaken by regulatory bodies and external parties.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date understanding of the market, regulatory, industry and competitive environments in which MCB operates.

Required profile
