Barista – Head Barista for Luxury Resort

About the role

The Head Barista at Four Seasons Mauritius will deliver an exceptional coffee experience to every guest, ensuring the highest standards of service and product quality across all food and beverage outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee and specialty beverages, including coffee art, following Four Seasons standards.
• Train food and beverage team members on coffee preparation and artistic presentation.
• Manage requisition, stock control, and ordering of all coffee products.
• Service, clean, and maintain coffee machines in all outlets; coordinate with suppliers for breakdowns and regular servicing.
• Communicate with department managers to ensure consistent product quality.

Required profile

• Minimum SC/GCE O Level or equivalent.
• National Certificate 4 or 5 in Food & Beverages (Bar operation) or similar qualification.
• NTC Level 3 in Hotel Management or equivalent.
• Certified Barista qualification.
• At least 2 years experience in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel and 5 years as a barista in a well‑known coffee shop.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of coffee drinks and preparation techniques.
• Hands‑on experience with coffee machine maintenance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Micros POS system.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and French.
