Biomedical Engineer

About the role

The Biomedical Engineer will join C‑Care’s Darne facility to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all medical equipment. Reporting to the Head of Biomedical Engineering, the role involves daily maintenance, breakdown response, and support for equipment acquisition and installation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the manager and team in day‑to‑day activities.
• Attend breakdown calls and provide first‑level service on medical equipment.
• Perform repairs promptly after obtaining quotations and approvals.
• Execute preventive maintenance according to schedule and conduct daily rounds and spot checks.
• Maintain equipment inventory, update history cards, and file service reports.
• Prepare purchase orders, follow up with suppliers, and manage breakdown log books.
• Carry out quality‑assurance checks to ensure equipment safety and functionality.
• Participate in equipment acquisition, installation, commissioning, and user training.
• Assist with Capex budget preparation, quotation comparison, and order tracking.
• Coordinate equipment transfers, standby equipment, and accessory requests.
• Support radiation‑safety procedures, site preparation, and related projects.

Required profile

• Biomedical engineering background or equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting medical devices.
• Ability to work under pressure, including overtime during emergencies.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory and documentation management.
