Casual Handyperson for Luxury Hotel Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Handyperson on a casual basis to join the facilities team at Constance Prince Maurice, a luxury resort on Mauritius' northeast coast. You will ensure that all hotel facilities remain in excellent working order, supporting a high‑standard guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, and painting.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
• Inspect building systems, fixtures and fittings to identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools safely.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and organisational standards.
• Collaborate with team members and external contractors on larger projects when needed.

Required profile

• NC 3 in Engineering or a related qualification.
• Previous experience in hotel or similar maintenance roles is preferred.
• Good knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and general building maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
