Chief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO)

About the role

The Chief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO) will lead the bank’s technology and operations functions, driving digital transformation and ensuring that IT systems, infrastructure, and processes support the bank’s strategic objectives while maintaining top‑level security and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the bank’s IT and digital strategy in alignment with business objectives.
• Ensure IT infrastructure, systems, and networks support current and future operational needs.
• Oversee banking operations such as ACH and wire transfers, card processing, loan operations, and other back‑office functions.
• Drive operational efficiency and continuous process improvement across the organization.
• Lead strategic IT and digital transformation projects from initiation to completion.
• Establish and maintain effective project management frameworks and governance structures.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
• Contribute to IT and Project Steering Committees.
• Implement and regularly test robust information security, disaster recovery, and business continuity frameworks.
• Identify operational and technology risks and implement effective mitigation controls.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies, audit requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor emerging technologies, industry trends, and banking regulations to drive timely implementation of changes.
• Provide strategic leadership to the IT team, fostering a high‑performance culture and supporting staff development.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Information Systems and Technology with progressive leadership responsibilities.
• Strong banking or financial services industry experience, preferably 10–15 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience in digital transformation, IT governance, cybersecurity, and banking operations management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large‑scale projects and manage organizational change.
