Country Manager Mauritius

About the role

Visa is seeking a senior executive to lead its operations in Mauritius. As the Country Manager, you will be the primary representative of Visa in the market, responsible for shaping strategy, building relationships with regulators and ecosystem partners, and delivering profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a Mauritius‑specific strategy aligned with CEMEA regional priorities.
• Represent Visa with the Bank of Mauritius, government bodies, media and key ecosystem stakeholders.
• Monitor market dynamics, competitive activity and regulatory changes to drive proactive strategic responses.
• Manage full P&L responsibility, including budgets, revenue targets, forecasts and profitability KPIs.
• Lead sales, new‑business development and complex commercial negotiations with issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, PSPs and government partners.
• Drive revenue growth across core Visa products, value‑added services and commercial money‑movement solutions such as B2B, remittances and government payments.
• Accelerate adoption of secure, frictionless digital payment solutions and expand acceptance across the country.

Required profile

• Extensive senior leadership experience in payments, financial services or a related industry.
• Proven track record of managing P&L and delivering revenue growth.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with regulators, government agencies and C‑suite executives.
• Deep understanding of the digital payments ecosystem and regulatory environment in emerging markets.
