Cyber & Technology Risk Analyst

About the role

The Cyber & Technology Risk Analyst will join the Cyber and Information Security Business Unit within MCB's Risk Strategic Business Unit. The role focuses on evaluating cyber and technology risks to the bank’s assets, defining risk‑related behaviours, and ensuring compliance with policies, legal and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to assess cyber and technology risks linked to initiatives and support risk‑informed decisions.
• Identify, assess and monitor information security, cyber and technology risks, strengthening the bank’s control environment.
• Develop, enhance and maintain risk policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
• Track key risk indicators, emerging issues and recommend actions to address control gaps.
• Embed cyber and technology risk considerations into project delivery and change activities.
• Support incident response processes, coordination and continuous improvement of readiness.
• Stay updated on threat landscape, industry practices and regulatory expectations, translating insights into the bank’s frameworks.
• Collaborate with technical and offensive security teams to monitor findings and remediation actions.
• Contribute to security awareness and risk‑culture initiatives across the organisation.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to interpret complex information and assess risks.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical and risk matters to diverse audiences.
• Good planning and organisational skills, capable of managing priorities and working independently.
