Data Analyst - ERP Data Analytics

About the role

EY's national practice assists clients locally and internationally with ERP data analytics and information management services. This Data Analyst role covers data reconciliation, validation, profiling, testing of business rules and visualisation of results.

Key responsibilities

• Perform data reconciliation procedures to confirm the completeness of data extracts.
• Support the assessment of the data, including data validation and profiling.
• Prepare programming logic to test identified data analysis business rules by coding SQL Server and Alteryx.
• Verify results against given specifications and prepare them for review, updating scripts accordingly.
• Visualise results and prepare working papers documenting the steps taken during data assessment.
• Follow project guidelines to manage and secure client data.

Required profile

• BSc Honours in Computer Science and Engineering or Software Engineering, with an interest in programming.
• 2 years of SQL/Alteryx programming experience or other data analyst experience.
• Experience in data analysis, query development, data warehousing, data mining, data quality or data migration.
• Logical thinker and problem solver with exceptional attention to detail, able to work under pressure and on overtime when required.

Required skills

• High-level understanding of relational databases and ability to analyse relationships between data.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, SQL/Alteryx and PowerPoint.
