Engineering Support Trainee – Mechanical & Mechatronics

About the role

Join the SmartFleet team as an Engineering Support Trainee, working on mechanical and mechatronics projects that drive predictive‑maintenance strategies and improve equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Mechanical Engineers in identifying performance trends, anomalies, and potential equipment issues through data analysis and AI‑powered diagnostic tools.
• Transform equipment data into actionable insights to improve machine efficiency, reliability and uptime.
• Collect and analyse real‑time sensor data from industrial equipment to support performance monitoring and predictive‑maintenance initiatives.
• Prepare reports and documentation, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to streamline processes and track project documents.
• Provide timely follow‑ups and status updates for registered machines.
• Perform any other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate or current student in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Data‑driven mindset with interest in statistical analysis and problem solving.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, evolving business environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
