French‑Speaking Finance Manager – Africa

About the role

Editec is seeking a French‑speaking Finance Manager to support its fast‑growing lottery and sports‑betting operations across French‑speaking Africa. Reporting to the Operations Manager in each country and working closely with the London‑based Financial Controllers, you will drive financial strategy, ensure robust controls, and deliver accurate, timely results.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute financial and operational strategies aligned with company growth plans.
• Prepare weekly profit reconciliations and reports, monitoring business activity.
• Manage daily profit collections and design efficient collection systems.
• Lead the finance, legal, tax, and treasury functions as needed.
• Partner with the CEO, Group CFO, and Controllers to create budgets, cash‑flow forecasts, and long‑term funding strategies.
• Implement month‑end closing processes and maintain strong fraud‑prevention controls.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, QBE or equivalent) or a degree in Accounting from a reputable university.
• 3‑5 years of finance leadership experience in a fast‑paced, complex environment, preferably in emerging markets.
• Proven ability to manage a small finance team and deliver results under pressure.
• Fluent verbal and written French with solid knowledge of French accounting practices.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Tally, Sage Accounting Software, or comparable accounting platforms.
• Expert‑level Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, formulas, pivot tables).
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
