Graduate Actuarial Associate – Consulting (Mauritius)

About the role

EY is seeking final‑year actuarial science students to join its African Actuarial Consulting team in Mauritius. This graduate position offers exposure to a wide range of actuarial and risk‑management projects across the continent.

Key responsibilities

• Support actuarial valuations (IFRS, EV, SAM) and statutory reporting.
• Assist in modelling, validation and implementation of IFRS 17 solutions.
• Contribute to pricing, product development and predictive‑analytics initiatives.
• Participate in finance and actuarial transformation, cost optimisation and risk‑capital management projects.
• Engage in ESG, investment consulting, due‑diligence and transaction support.
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams across Africa and globally.

Required profile

• Final year of a degree in Actuarial Science or a closely related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with interest in insurance and financial services.
• Willingness to work in a high‑performing, multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Actuarial modelling and valuation techniques.
• Knowledge of IFRS 17 and related regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with predictive analytics concepts.
