About the role
The Head of Sales will be based in Mauritius and will lead the company’s sales operations across Madagascar. Reporting to the General Manager, the role combines strategic planning, team leadership and business development to drive revenue growth and strengthen market presence.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for Madagascar in line with overall business objectives.
- Lead, coach and motivate the sales team, ensuring clear targets, KPIs and performance expectations.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecasting and regular performance reviews.
- Identify new business opportunities, negotiate and close high‑value deals, and expand strategic client relationships.
- Track sales performance against budget, forecasts and profitability goals, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Recruit, onboard and develop sales personnel, fostering a collaborative, high‑performance culture.
- Provide weekly performance updates and ensure compliance with reporting and governance standards.
- Travel regularly to Madagascar to support the local team and engage key customers.
Required profile
- Proven experience in sales management and team leadership, preferably in an international or emerging market.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of the Malagasy market, business culture and commercial landscape.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently between Mauritius and Madagascar.
