Hostess – Guest Reception and Seating

About the role

The Hostess will be the first point of contact for guests at Constance Prince Maurice, a luxury resort in Mauritius. You will create a warm and professional welcome, manage reservations and seating, and ensure a seamless dining experience from arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Manage guest arrivals, reservations, seating plans and waiting lists.
• Escort guests to their tables, provide menus, and coordinate with the service team.
• Answer phone calls, handle inquiries and reservation requests.
• Monitor the dining area to ensure guest comfort and address any concerns.
• Assist with special events, VIP guests and group bookings.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal communication and people skills with a customer‑focused attitude.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude and ability to stay calm in a busy environment.
• Minimum SC or equivalent qualification; hospitality experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong organizational skills for managing seating plans and reservations.
• Effective communication with waiters, supervisors, kitchen staff and management.
