Junior UX/UI Designer

About the role

This full‑time Junior UX/UI Designer position is a hybrid role based in Floréal. You will support digital product design by creating user flows, wireframes and high‑fidelity interfaces that follow human‑centred design principles. The role involves close collaboration with product managers, developers and other designers.

Key responsibilities

• Create user flows, wireframes and high‑fidelity UI mockups aligned with human‑centred design.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to translate business and user requirements into intuitive interfaces.
• Participate in design workshops, brainstorming sessions and design reviews.
• Conduct basic user research, gather feedback and iterate on designs to improve usability and visual consistency.
• Maintain design systems, prepare assets for development hand‑off and document design decisions.

Required profile

• Strong foundational skills in UX design practices, including user research, user flows and usability considerations.
• Proficiency with UI design tools such as Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD and an understanding of responsive and mobile‑first design.
• Basic knowledge of interaction design and information architecture.
• Ability to create and follow design systems, style guides and component libraries.
• Effective collaboration skills, attention to detail and a portfolio showcasing relevant projects or academic work.
• Relevant education in Design, HCI, Interactive Media or equivalent practical experience.
• Interest in emerging technologies such as fintech, web platforms and immersive experiences.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup from Curepipe, manage time effectively and take initiative in a fast‑paced startup environment.
