KYC Onboarding Officer

About the role

The KYC Onboarding Officer will act as the primary point of contact for customers during the onboarding journey, ensuring that all account opening and KYC requirements are met in line with the bank’s policies. This role supports relationship managers and helps shape tailored solutions for new and existing clients.

Key responsibilities

• Process end‑to‑end account opening requests and compile complete KYC files.
• Serve as the main liaison for customers on all onboarding and KYC queries.
• Accompany relationship managers to understand client business needs and develop appropriate solutions.
• Identify potential compliance issues, review adverse media, and escalate where necessary.
• Maintain records of reputational risk, PEP, and high‑risk approvals.
• Monitor service level agreements and ensure they are consistently met.
• Support ongoing account monitoring and provide guidance on transaction structures.
• Escalate non‑compliant files to senior management and assist with regulatory reviews.

Required profile

• Experience in account opening and KYC compliance processes.
• Familiarity with Customer Due Diligence, AML and related regulatory standards.
• Ability to work closely with relationship managers and client contacts such as company secretaries, MDs and finance directors.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot and resolve KYC issues proactively.
