Operations Manager – Civil Engineering Projects

About the role

The Bhunjun Group is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the planning, execution and delivery of civil engineering projects across Mauritius. You will be responsible for ensuring projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety and technical excellence while managing a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Monitor project progress, timelines, budgets and quality standards on‑site.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, site teams and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
• Supervise, guide and mentor junior civil engineers and site personnel.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Prepare project reports, cost estimates and progress updates for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 3 years in a project lead or supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Registration with IEM is advantageous.
