Operations Manager – Jake’s Place (Dining & Recreation)

About the role

Amentum is seeking an Operations Manager to lead Jake’s Place, a dining, recreation, and entertainment hub supporting a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures high‑quality experiences for patrons while meeting strict military and contract standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute daily operations for dining, beverage, recreation, and entertainment services.
• Develop and enforce operational policies, procedures, and best practices for efficiency and compliance.
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff to maintain service excellence.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and continuously improve offerings.
• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation.
• Manage inventory of food, beverages, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are met.
• Coordinate events with government representatives and respond to emergencies within one hour of notification.
• Maintain accurate operational, financial, and service records for audits.
• Market activities and events to increase participation.

Required profile

• A four‑year degree in business management, food, hospitality, or a related field, OR at least three years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food service, hospitality, and operational management.
• Ability to work on‑site in a remote, military environment.
