Order Taker

About the role

The Order Taker joins the Room Service team at Constance Belle Mare Plage, a luxury resort in Mauritius. You will be the first point of contact for guests placing food and beverage orders, ensuring accuracy, speed, and a high level of service.

Key responsibilities

• Know the full menu, special offers and promotions.
• Verify cleanliness and presentation of all items before delivery.
• Maintain the Room Service area in a spotless condition.
• Provide courteous, professional service to all guests, following established standards.
• Set up VIP bar areas and process guest checks before and after service.
• Record all items sold and keep accurate logs.
• Comply with safety, hygiene and health policies.
• Assist with additional duties as requested by management.

Required profile

• Middle or secondary education; additional hospitality training is a plus.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar hotel or resort role.
• Experience in luxury resorts or remote island locations is advantageous.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of a second language is a plus.

Required skills

• Excellent telephone etiquette.
• Ability to record information clearly and accurately.
• Strong knowledge of customer service principles and beverage products.
• Proficiency in English communication.
