Payments Partnership Manager

About the role

The Payments Partnership Manager will shape and execute the strategic direction of our payments ecosystem. You will work across markets to accelerate digital payments adoption, expand e‑commerce capabilities, and deliver sustainable commercial value while ensuring compliance with risk and regulatory frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive a payments partnership strategy, identifying and prioritising ecosystem alliances to support digital payments ambitions.
• Identify, assess and negotiate collaborations with fintechs, payment schemes, PSPs and wallet providers.
• Govern partnership frameworks, contractual models and performance management to ensure compliance and long‑term value.
• Provide strategic guidance to overseas banking subsidiaries on consumer payments growth initiatives.
• Advise on market‑specific pricing, product design and partnership structures to maximise adoption and profitability.
• Expand and optimise the e‑commerce acquiring portfolio, shaping merchant acquisition strategies and enhancing digital acceptance.
• Monitor e‑commerce portfolio performance, including approval rates, fraud, chargebacks and customer experience.
• Ensure all partnership and merchant activities comply with regulatory, AML/CFT, data protection and scheme requirements.
• Lead due diligence, outsourcing governance and contractual risk assessments for third‑party partnerships.
• Influence senior stakeholders across payments, technology, risk, operations and finance to secure resources and resolve dependencies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in payments, fintech or related partnership roles.
• Strong understanding of payment schemes, e‑commerce acquiring and digital wallets.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to navigate complex regulatory and risk environments.
